Registration is now open for the 2019 SAME Engineering & Construction camps. If you know of a high school student who may be interested in participating please, have them REGISTER HERE. Applications are due 15 March 2019.

SAME camps provide a rigorous experience for high school students interested in exploring STEM skills and careers. Campers gain a sense of what it takes to become a STEM professional from high school to college and beyond. Each camp has a unique curriculum that generally features hands-on activities conducted in a competitive environment that promote teamwork, leadership, project management, and problem solving.

There are five different camps featuring four different branches.

  • US Army Engineering & Construction Camp will be held in Vicksburg, MS from June 9-15.
  • US Air Force Academy Engineering & Construction Camp will be held in Colorado Springs, CO from June 26- July 2.
  • US Air Force Engineering & Construction Camp will be held in Scott Air Force Base, IL from July 15-20.
  • US Marine Corps Engineering & Construction Camp will be held at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC from June 23-30.
  • US Navy STEM Engineering & Construction Camp will be held in Port Hueneme, CA from June 23-29.

The application deadline for all camps is March 15.

Campers are supervised by mentors made up of professional engineers, engineering students, military personnel, educators, and other STEM professionals. These mentors are committed to inspiring campers to pursue STEM in college. For more information about the camps, go to:

Who May Apply?
At a minimum, students must meet the following criteria:
• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Be at least 15 years old
• Completed freshman year by the time he/she departs for camp.
